1/14/2024 EnchantaVaughn Approved QMHP-A inquired about Kailaâs thoughts, feelings, and emotions. QMHP-A utilized active listening to provide Kaila with constructive feedback regarding her mood. QMHP-A assisted Kaila with learning how to express her emotions appropriately. QMHP-A provided Kaila with a role reversal demonstrating effective ways for her to communicate and interact with her peers and family members to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. QMHP-A educated Kaila on the importance of developing healthy interpersonal relationships. QMHP-A emphasized the importance of Kaila using assertive communication styles when meeting new people; and to avoid aggressive styles. QMHP-A supported Kaila in understanding how engaging in more social settings can increase her daily living and reduce isolation. QMHP-A suggested to Kaila she goes out into the neighborhood and interact with her neighbors to avoid the feeling of neglect due to her verbalizing to QMHP-A she does not have too many friends in the area and the crime rate which is why she wants to get out of the neighborhood. Kaila appeared to be receptive to QMHP-Aâs interventions and services that were provided to her during the session. Kaila learned how to express her emotions in an assertive manner and not be aggressive towards others. Kaila required some assistance with processing the importance of healthy interpersonal relationships. Kaila noted that she did not like people and like being by herself. Kaila was encouraged to seek age appropriate social settings that could increase her support system. Kaila was able to recall how to express her thoughts and feelings assertively. Kaila practiced utilizing assertive skills such as looking one in the eye, being mindful of onesâ tone and posture. Kaila was encouraged to practice these skills independently. Kaila notes her struggles with controlling her emotions when communicating with her family and peers. Kaila is reminded to work on building a healthy relationship with her family and to avoid conflict in the home.
